A better reproduction than originally posted to Twitter, this was created on the train back from London where I had seen the Simon Starling installation (for the second time) at Tate Britain. This is made principally from the gallery notes. I also saw the Lowry show which was disappointing – 50 years of the same subject and nothing new to say about it. I felt that Lowry didn’t like or care for the people in his pictures. At Tate Modern I saw the poorly-curated but interesting Saloua Raouda Choucair show. The highlight was the Mira Schendel exhibition which was quite wonderful: emotionally-charged, intellectually-engaging and in many cases simply beautiful.
199 – nothing startling for Simon, not a murmuration
